Everywhere at Once - 26 June

  • Fiery Bird Venue 32 Goldsworth Road Woking, England, GU21 6JT United Kingdom (map)

Everywhere At Once powered by The National Lottery takes place from 26–28 June and brings together 1000+ gigs, 400+ venues over one weekend, making it the UK’s biggest music festival on your doorstep. The campaign is designed to celebrate grassroots music venues and bring audiences closer to live music in the places that matter most locally. Its core message is simple: this is a different kind of festival. Closer to the music. Where local matters. Where everyone belongs.

On Friday 26th June, we welcome Coco La Funk, Phoenix Chroi and Local Pop Hero to the stage.

Coco La Funk
Members come from, inspired or founded a wide range of respected, innovative and creative bands. This month, we’ve been lucky enough to pin them down and they’ll be playing in the original Coco La Funk trio line up laying down thick layers of funk and soul, lovers of Sly & The Family Stone will find their groovy itch scratched. Guaranteed to bring in early Summer vibes and send you away with a spring in your step.

Local Pop Hero
Woking 3 piece guitar band, Local Pop Hero have been receiving rave reviews for their live performances over the last few years, They are a high energy act that will leave the audience wanting more. Perfectly crafted three minute hero songs befitting our Local Pop Heroes, well crafted lyrics and powerful performances have become their trademark at gigs at festivals and venues across the South East.

Phoenix Chroi
The spoken-word-and-bass duo of vocalist/poet Elaine McGinty and bassist Joe Buckley, founders of the former post-punk band of the same name. Their debut album Songs From The Last Five Years (2015) was acquired by the British Library as an important cultural work, followed by Humanity Lands (2017).

Their current performance is raw, uncompromising and grounded in lived experience—Elaine’s powerful vocals and poetry driven by Joe’s deep, atmospheric bass. Together they explore survival, resistance, and hope amid the systems that try to silence us.

Phoenix Chroi appear at gigs and festivals across the UK, and Elaine’s writing has been featured in multiple anthologies. Elaine and Joe are also founders of the community-led Phoenix Cultural Centre CIC and the Fiery Bird Live Music Venue in Woking.

Whether you’re passionate about supporting grassroots music venues, love live music, or simply fancy a brilliant night out, this is the perfect way to experience the buzz of the local music scene.
